1988-Sunset Mirror

I found that I was really more interested in change than I was in repetitive visual imagery. During these years I began doing simpler paintings, some more referential, others almost representational.

I found that as I moved away from preconceived concepts, I began to loosen my options and started to open to a freedom to paint anything I wanted.

As simple as it appears, this piece was one that helped propel me into a new way of seeing.

I think I was finally ready to go after a new vision which could change how I related to space and form.
