one time
there came an eagle
bold as i guess eagles tend to be
i would never even be where i sat then
had it not been for that tree
now older than 400 years our time
although there obviously must be
a relationship here between

that tree and
that eagle

otherwise where else could

that bird

have appeared as it did in

that tree

before pushing against me eyeball to eyeball
to assume a right unknown previously to me
then a whisper
we have merged
